Just a question
Hi. Names Medli from shattered-memories.org. After reading all the discussions that were happening, I decided to bring one of my own.

What was your first site that started your collection? How did it start so that your site became what it is today?

Mine was a fantasy site that I hosted on geocities.com for the longest time. Afterwards, I started noticing the weblogs and graphic sites. I open my first weblog or online journal a year after the fantasy site and then a few months later my first graphic site. After having trouble with hosts and everything, I finally convinced my parents to allow me to get my first domain. However, they didn't like the idea of me staying at school for the longest times to work on it. So, one day when we had a big thunderstorm and the roads were flooded, my parents gave in allowing me to get my first computer. My first site on my domain was my online journal and my graphic site. Now, I have two shrines, a bunch of fanlistings, some hostees, and much more coming.

Hi Medli! XD

Wow...a rush of nostalgia LOL! Hmm, my first site was hosted on Geocities as well. It was personal site, filled with random hot-linked blinking pictures (haha), sHoUt OuTz to friends... that stuff. I didn't even know what HTML was back then and I was stuck using Page Builder. Afterwards, my friends dragged me to AsianAvenue, where we build our own personal profile page and I learned A LOT of HTML there. I also used to be into Neopets at the same time too, while learning from AA and I built a few guild sites there.

Then I discovered the world of fanlistings/shrines *___*, signed up for a few and hosted them all in Freewebs. Soon enough, I bought my own domain creating more sites and having an endless list of online projects since then! :D

My very first "site" was and idea that was supposed to be hosted on a free host (not geocities and stuff, I didn't want ads), that ask you to post at their forum for space XDDD! Thank god something bad happened and I hated those guys so I abandoned that idea. It was to be a wallpaper, banner and image recourse site with celebrities and stuff. And I didn't even know how to use Photoshop XDDD.

After that I won a domain and made a site with the spells casted on Charmed, but I had school and abandoned that too -.-

But I made a Reno/Elena fanlisting (that I recently adopted out ;_;), and then ideas kept pouring in and I made a collective :DDD!

Hmm my first site was a general Final Fantasy fansite on Geocities. It was really, really bad. I direct linked stuff, I admit it (I didn't know what it was back then, though. I thought that was how you get pictures! Haha! Oh how naive ...)

But the first site that started my collection was my Tidus shrine. I still own it :D I guess after I made it, I thought it was fun, so I decided to make more and ... well, it's a little out of hand now. But that's how I got going. I just really like building shrines, it's nice!

The whole thing that got me into web design in the first place was actually a website for a clan (/group /guild /whatever) on StarCraft (one of those online game things XP). It basically started out on Geocities in page builder and evolved from there, I guess. I started learning HTML, CSS, etc. and expanded my skills while making that site. XP I got a domain and everything, and then, I ditched the clan altogether and ended up making my current shrine to Yuna, which was probably at least one of my first sites, if not the first (I don't really remember XP).
